On Trinity Sunday, 31 May 2015, Canon Edgar Turner Concelebrated at the 10am Sung Eucharist as it marked the 70th anniversary of his Ordination to the Deaconate.

After the Service, at coffee time, Canon Turner and Canon Robert Jones cut a cake marking the 70th anniversary and Canon Jones' significant birthday.

In his address Canon Jones said that the first Northern Ireland church he had preached in as a Theological student about 40 years ago was St George's in Belfast where the rector at the time was Canon Turner. He, like many others over the years, had received helpful advice and constructive criticism.
