"Sunday First" Spring Stroll | ||
The
morning of our first Spring Walk dawned ... well, a little overcast and
windy. We had come prepared with coats and a few umbrellas, and the
enthusiastic walkers galvanised the more cynical into setting off up
Deramore Drive. We were intending to stroll to Lagan Meadows for a
little Easter treasure hunt - in the end we did walk a small circuit
around Lagan Meadows but decided that with too many dogs up in the
Meadows, that would mean our treasure might be a bit contaminated!
Rosemary and Kathleen came up with a brilliant Plan B and by the time we
had returned down Deramore, there were all sorts of treasure to be found
in Kathleen's garden. The
little ones had great fun, searching out specific coloured bunnies,
windmills, and mini Eggs with treats and surprises inside.
The grown-ups enjoyed a coffee in the garden after we had our
pockets filled with the Easter treasure. Many thanks to Rosemary and
Kathleen for hosting and organising, it was a pleasure for us all, with
the promise of Spring and Easter just round the corner.
