Just before Easter 2013 two of our most senior parishoners passed away in the same week, Canon Norman Kelly and Miss Jean Cochrane.

Canon Norman Kelly, our retired assistant priest, died on Wednesday morning 20 March 2013.

Norman first came to St John's as a Curate in July 1946, having already served a Curacy in Waringstown parish.

In 1955 he was appointed to the parish of Billy in North Antrim. In 1966 he moved to Dorking in Surrey, then New Haw and Egham Hythe.

On retirement in 1986 Norman returned to Belfast and St John's where he became honorary assistant Priest.

He was cremated at Roselawn on 26 March and a Memorial Eucharist took place in St John's on 5 April at 12 noon.

Miss Jean Cochrane

Miss Jean Cochrane passed away on 23 March 2013

Her funeral service took place in St John's on 30 March was followed by Cremation in Roselawn.
