St John's was the venue on 8 Dec 2013 for a Candlelit Carol Service to raise money for the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children. Mr Noel Thompson acted as Master of Ceremonies and the Special Guest was the US Consul General in Belfast Mr Gregory Burton. Organised by Capella Caeciliana the Concert also featured the Inchmarlo Preparatory School choir, the girls' choir from Rathmore Grammar School , a Quartet from Queen's University and Mr Richard Campbell on the organ.
