The
Mothers' Union celebrated Christmas by attending "Carols by
Candleleight" in the Omagh Presbyterian Church rebuilt within the
grounds of the Ulster folk Museum at Cultra. Fifty members, husbands and
friends joined with other groups and enjoyed singing well known carols.
Between carols a member of the museum staff gave a little history of the
carol or told about local Christmas customs.
Afterwards the group moved to the Manor House where they enjoyed a buffet meal accompanied by popular piano music. |
